Yesterday evening, we headed over to Lostwithiel to run a live exercise with the Flood Group, working with our partners at the Environment Agency and Cornwall Council.
On a wet and windy evening, the group walked around Lostwithiel and discussed their response to different flooding scenarios. They tested out their communications via radio, reporting each ‘incident’ back to the coordinators, who provided advice to the wardens on the ground. This was a great opportunity for the group to practice what to do in a flood event.
A massive well done to Lostwithiel and thank you to everyone who gave up their time to attend!
