Last Thursday, we ran a live exercise with Mawgan Porth’s Flood Group, working with our partners at the Environment Agency and Cornwall Council.
The group went out and about to discuss their response to six different scenarios. They tested out their communications via radio, reporting each ‘incident’ back to the coordinators. The coordinators provided advice to the wardens on the ground, completed a logging sheet and practiced reporting issues to the relevant agencies. This was a great opportunity for the group to identify any gaps in their Flood Plan and to get some realistic practice of what to do in a flood event.
