Where do I report flooding?
How to a report a flood incident depends on the type of flood and where it is.
Sewers and burst water mains:
- Contact South West Water online or by phone on 0344 346 2020.
Public drains and flooded roads:
- To report flooding on the A30 or A38 – call the National Highways Incident Line on 0300 123 5000.
- Report blocked drains or flooding on other roads to the Cornwall Highways Service or on 0300 1234 222.
Rivers, reservoirs and the sea
Call the Environment Agency to report:
- Collapsed or badly damaged river banks
- Flooding from main rivers or the sea
- Main rivers blocked by a vehicle or fallen tree causing risk of flooding
- Unusual changes in river flow
- Concerns or incidents at a reservoir or dam which may cause a failure or flood

Flooding from other rivers, brooks or streams
- Contact Cornwall Council to report flooding that is not to a main river: 0300 1234 222.
Groundwater flooding
- Contact Cornwall Council: 0300 1234 222.
Flooding or muddy run off from fields
- Contact the Environment Agency on landmanagementdcis@environment-agency.gov.uk
